EcoAgriculture Partners seeks to hire a Development Associate to join our committed team in our Washington, D.C. headquarters as soon as possible to support the Senior Leadership Team in mobilizing financial resources for the organization’s new strategic plan. The position will require occasional national and international travel (approximately 10% time).
The Development Associate will assist the Senior Leadership Team of EcoAgriculture Partners to:
-Prepare fund-raising proposals and donor reports;
-Undertake fund-raising activities;
-Document and track follow up from Senior Leadership Team meetings;
-Prepare for, participate in and report on external meetings;
-Interact with donors, clients and partners;
-Document and help prepare for Board of Director meetings;
-Undertake other organizational tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess:
-Bachelor of Science or Arts degree in a field of study related to agriculture, food systems, ecosystems or environment or sustainable development;
-Experience working in an international organization;
-At least two years of professional experience;
-Prior fundraising experience as well as familiarity with budget preparation;
-Excellent English writing and editing skills;
-Highly organized, with attention to detail;
-Experience and competence working in diverse teams;
-Proactive, flexible and creative;
-Excellent communicator;
-Experienced with computer programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and others.

EcoAgriculture Partners also seeks a talented undergraduate or recent graduate interested in sustainability and agriculture communications to join our communications and outreach team in January 2016.
Reporting to the Communications Manager, the intern will support communications and outreach activities for EcoAgriculture Partners and the Landscapes for People, Food and Nature Initiative over a negotiable period that can begin January 5, 2016. We are looking for a candidate who can commit to between 20 and 40 hours per week at EcoAgriculture Partners’ headquarters in Washington, DC. The position is unpaid, though a stipend of between $200 and $400/month (depending on time commitment per week) is available, and we can make arrangements to satisfy requirements for college credit.
The communications intern will gain an understanding of international development and integrated landscape management by synthesizing and supporting the work we do in research, finance, policy, markets, and leader development. They are also invited to develop and pursue a mutually agreed upon communications project of their own design.
