Winter Term ’13 – Teton Science Schools Sustainability and Education Interns in Kelly, WY

An Internship with the Sustainability Coordinator at Teton Science Schools is a winter term experience available to motivated Middlebury students interested in organizational sustainability.

The intern will work on the sustainability audit (STARS) and the development of a Sustainability Report, describing the outcomes of the audit and the school’s efforts towards sustainability. As part of this program, the Intern will have the option to take a Winter Ecology Course (3-9 days) and work on the development of sustainability curriculum within the Field Education Program, including exploring pedagogy and field teaching, depending on the interests of the intern.

The Sustainability Initiative at Teton Science Schools is the process of educating about and monitoring our natural resource use. This process helps us to understand our environmental, community and economic impacts and make informed decisions regarding energy use, resource consumption and waste.
