Part-time Tech-support for 350.org Multilingual Sites
We are seeking applicants for part time (approximately 10 hours per week), temporary work to facilitate the maintenance of the 350.org website in 7 different languages, and our regular communications to our multilingual lists. Tech savviness is a must for this position. Multilingual and website localization experience would be very helpful. Desire to save the world also a plus.
350 is an online campaign that is run in 7 different languages. We are seeking applicants to help with the maintenance of the 350 multilingual sites and formatting of email communications and materials.
Time frame: starting as soon as possible – end of December. We are organizing a major mobilization on Oct. 24th – around this date the work will be most intense and we will need the most time.
Requirements:Experience working with CRMs
Experience working with CMSs, in particular Drupal
Comfortable with html
General tech-savviness – we periodically need to subtitle videos, set up new pages on the 350 website, translate forms, etc. – things that require patience and good troubleshooting skills
Important but not required:Experience with multilingual websites/localization
Graphic design experience
Fluency in another language (Italian, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, French in particular)
Connected and responsive to email – flexible hours, willing to work on tight timelines.Committment: approximately 10 hours per week. May be more the weeks before Oct. 24 and right after. Flexibility in your hours around then would be very appreciative. Can work from home or from 350.org office in Berkeley.
Compensation: Hourly rate, $12/hour
