Avodah’s mission is to develop a lifelong commitment to serving the community in recent college graduates. The organization emphasizes the importance of Jewish values and solidarity fostered by their work. Avodah’s year long program places graduates among impoverished communities in Washington D.C., New Orleans, Chicago, or New York. Additionally, the organization subsidizes all travel and housing arrangements as well as providing volunteers with monthly stipends and health insurance.
