The Vermont Energy Investment Corporation (VEIC) is officially accepting resumes for their 6 summer internships. PACE Policy Intern (Full Job Description) -37.5 hrs/week

Summary:

Support the Energy and Finance Development Manager in the ramp-up of Property Assessed Clean Energy programming implementation in the State of Vermont. Provide support for consulting services, all required documentation and related work for the development and implementation of PACE programs for Vermont municipalities. Requirements:

Currently enrolled in higher education having completed a minimum of two years’ of relevant coursework. Must be a highly organized, independent self starter yet able to work within a team environment, supporting the needs of internal clients in a timely manner. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven organizational and problem-solving skills; the ability to meet deadlines on a variety of projects simultaneously.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Microsoft Project knowledge a plus.

Policy Research & Analyst Intern (Full Job Description) – 37.5 hrs/week
Summary:

Conduct technical analysis that may include: identifying historical trends of the Energy Efficiency Utility, conceptual impacts of policies, or scenarios for achieving the State of Vermont’s green house gas and/or efficiency goals.

Requirements:

Policy or Economics graduate student preferred; high performing undergrads in these disciplines will be considered. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Must have superior spreadsheet skills. Strong analytical skills and experience with statistics.

Residential Energy Services Intern (Full Job Description) – 30 hrs/week
Summary:

Works with Residential Energy Services staff to provide support with Home Performance with Energy Star job tracking and status updates, archiving of VESH architectural plans, and Renewable Energy Resource Center document filing.

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in higher education having completed a minimum of two years’ of coursework. Computer skills, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and database software including extensive Windows and Microsoft Office applications experience are essential.

Marketing Brand Intern (Full Job Description) – 30 hrs/week

Summary:

Provides administrative support to the Marketing Department and Vermont Energy Investment Corporation and its contracts to promote energy efficiency.  Provides support to further the Efficiency Vermont and Vermont Energy Investment Corporation brands online and at public events.

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in higher education having completed a minimum of two years’ of coursework in marketing or a related field. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and database software including extensive Windows and Microsoft Office applications experience essential. Experience with HTML, video-editing software and Adobe Creative Suite a plus.

Web Marketing Intern (Full Job Description) – 30 hrs/week

Summary:

Works with Marketing Department to assist in a rebuild of the EfficiencyVermont.com website.

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in higher education having completed a minimum of two years’ of relevant coursework. Strong knowledge of web development fundamentals including HTML, CSS, ASP.net, and Dreamweaver. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software including extensive Windows and Microsoft Office applications experience essential.

Receptionist Intern (Full Job Description) 20 hrs/week

Summary:

Serves the needs of the entire organization in the form of administrative support and phone answering along with greeting walk-in traffic such as vendors, customers, job applicants and other visitors.  Manages internal and external inquiries and facilitates appropriate assistance and response.  Other duties include management of incoming and outgoing mail, assistance in keeping workroom equipment running smoothly and stocking office supplies.

Requirements:

Completed a minimum of one year of coursework at the college level.Proven ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Proven ability to work with various internal groups and perform multiple tasks. Proven ability to trouble-shoot unfamiliar situations with ease while maintaining calm and positive demeanor at all times. Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office 2007 applications particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Access. Proven ability to be organized, detail oriented and accurate when working under deadlines. Excellent written and oral communication skills essential. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information. Successful background working in fast-paced settings where providing excellent customer service was critically important.
