Grants for Midd Sustainability Projects

EnvGrants

The Environmental Council manages an innovative grant program designed to inspire environmental leadership across the campus through sustainability initiatives. Thanks to President Ron Liebowitz the Environmental Council continues to be able to provide grants to Middlebury College students, staff and faculty. Nearly 40 grants have been awarded utilizing more than $65,000 of funding.

Middlebury College faculty, staff and students can apply for grants ranging from $25- $2500. Past projects include establishing a community bike shop, studying the wind potential at the Snow Bowl, developing an organic garden, assess the potential support for hybrid vehicles in the college fleet, creating an inventory of campus trees, and creating biodiesel fuel from waste vegetable oil generated by dining services.
