Deadline Extended- Charter House Emergency Shelter Intern

If you have an interest in social work, housing advocacy or non-profit management, take note!

The deadline for the J-Term Charter House Emergency Shelter Internship has been extended to October 16, 2009!

The Charter House provides transitional housing, which is especially important in the midst of the current economic downturn. Interns are expected to assist with facility operations, work directly with house residents, and help coordinate other community volunteers. It has been a successful model for both shelter and interns and is a wonderful opportunity for students interested in social work, housing advocacy, and non-profit management.

U.S. citizens may use this experience toward qualifying for a SERVE Northern New England Education Award of up to $2362 to be used for tuition expenses at Middlebury or future graduate school or to repay student loans.
