Urban Teachers will be on-campus this Wednesday. If you are interested to visit with Torin Peterson to learn more, he’ll be at CCI in Adirondack House between 12 and 4pm on Wednesday. Please RSVP here to let him know – thanks!
You can learn more about Urban Teachers here and via the blurb below (and when you’re ready to apply, you can do so here – the end of October is quickly approaching!).
Urban Teachers – A bit about them: They are a four-year teacher preparation and certification program that transforms those interested to teach into truly effective, culturally competent career teachers in urban schools in Baltimore, DC, and Dallas/Fort Worth. Their program includes: 1) A one-year co-teaching residency with stipend and benefits, 2) A two-year master’s degree in education from Johns Hopkins, 3) A guaranteed three-year teaching job with full-time salary and benefits, and 4) Three years and 85 hours of 1-on-1 coaching, as well as teaching certification by the end of year three. As a result, those who complete the Urban Teachers program are among the most expert and results-oriented educators in the nation.
