“Water in an Insecure World” is to topic of the first President’s course, which will be convened for the Spring semester by President Laurie Patton. Taught by  Dan Brayton, Associate Professor of English and American Literatures, Middlebury College, and Lyuba Zarsky, Professor of International Environmental Policy, Middlebury Institute of International Studies, the course brings together faculty from multiple disciplines on both campuses, and connects twenty undergraduate students and twenty graduate students via videoconferencing. The course is supported by a bi-coastal team of instructional designers, technologists and librarians coordinated by the Office of Digital Learning.

For those of you who would like a virtual taste of the course, most of the lectures will be recorded and made available online through a special web site that allows us to share the breadth of faculty expertise at Middlebury while preserving the privacy of the classroom environment.
