“…I think that I’ve always been interested in the concept of community. I’ve spent a lot of my time at Middlebury in the Community Engagement office, from volunteering in Burlington to leading a MAlt trip during my sophomore year to seeking out resources from the Flex Fund to pursue more self-designed service opportunities… When I think of the types of people that energize and insire me, I think of a lot of the faces in Community Engagement. Community Engagement is a space overflowing with passion and great ideas, and it’s been a great incubator for me as I think about careers in the common good.” -Maddie Orcutt ’16
