Last year, Middlebury initiated a discussion series devoted to the issue of divestment, specifically whether the College should divest its endowment of fossil fuel investments (“To Divest?” winter 2013).
As the institution continues to examine the issue, we asked Teddy Smyth ’15 and Michael Patterson ’13, representatives from the student panel, to continue their debate.
