On Monday, October 31, Patrick Dougherty’s 2007 temporary installation So Inclined was taken down by the college’s landscaping crew, loaded onto a truck and hauled off to be turned into mulch. The sculpture, which welcomed visitors to the Mahaney Center for the Arts, held up longer than anyone anticipated. This fall, the artist and college decided together that it would be best to dismantle the piece before it became unsafe. The landscaping crew that frosty morning included Jamie Case, John Quelch, David Groshans, and Roger Bagley.
