Scales of Sovereignty

Sovereignty involves demarcated borders and recognized governing authority within a territory, allowing countries to organize militaries, join organizations, and claim land. However, sovereignty exists on a continuum, with contested borders, areas of limited control, non-recognition by some states, and evolving practices like ceding some sovereignty to the EU.

Interesting contrast between this grave and the grave of Salvador Allende, housed in the same cemetery, that has been kept in pristine condition with no signs of graffiti tagging.
