Book Sale Receipts Donated to Public Library Disaster Relief Fund

We’re pleased to report that the recent Davis Family Library book sale brought in $2,732 and that amount has been donated to the Vermont Public Library Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund to help libraries that were impacted by the floods following Tropical Storm Irene.  The funds will be used for repairs, mold abatement, clean-up and replacement of books, furniture and computers. Thanks to Jess Isler and Carrie Macfarlane for suggesting that we use the proceeds from the sale to support the fund.  Thanks also to our College Cashier and the folks in Accounting for helping us coordinate the donation.

Thanks for your work on the book sale, Joseph! And thanks to Jess for coming up with the idea to make the donation. I’m glad the sale was so successful!
