In 1949, Coach Curtis Cushman helped start the Middlebury Mens Lacrosse program. While only playing a 5 game schedule, Coach Cushman led the Panthers to their first ever win over the Union JV team. Cushman’s leadership led to a successful first season, prompting the athletic department to keep the program.
