Students Presenting a Talk

  • details: maximum talk length is 8 minutes for individual presentations and 12 minutes for group presentations; each will be followed by 4 minutes of q&a, so there will be some flexibility; presentation slides expected.
  • August 24: submit paper for proceedings (detailed instructions)
  • September 27: submit electronic version of presentation slides file before leaving for symposium (submission upload form).
  • September 29: give talk with presentation slides in McCardell Bicentennial Hall 216 (room view and details) during allocated talk time, Windows 10 machine with PowerPoint 2016 provided, presentations will be preloaded, no personal computers will be used, fixed and portable microphones available, slide advancer remote and pointer available, bring backup copy of presentation on a portable USB drive

Students Presenting a Poster

  • details: maximum poster size 64.5″ wide by 41.5″ high with pins and boards provided, one summary presentation slide expected
  • August 24: submit abstract for proceedings (detailed instructions)
  • September 27: submit electronic version of one presentation slide introduction or teaser summary of poster before leaving for symposium (submission upload form).
  • September 28: submit hardcopy poster when arriving at symposium (at Registration at Bread Loaf Inn)
  • September 29: present poster in McCardell Bicentennial Great Hall during morning poster session, completely optional to accompany poster during afternoon poster session, give brief poster introduction with single presentation slide in McCardell Bicentennial Hall 216 (room view and details) before poster session

Faculty Attending

  • August 31: one person from each KNAC institution submit estimated attendance numbers and estimated extra Saturday night lodging needs, including both institutional students and hosted out-of-consortium students and advisors (contact form)
  • September 17: one person from each KNAC institution submit specific names, affiliations, genders, preferred roommates, dietary restrictions, and lodging nights for attendees, including both institutional students and hosted out-of-consortium students and advisors (contact form)
