Final Project

PROJECT OVERVIEW

In this project, your group will be discussing the actions and policies of immigration related organizations. Your group should do background research on the organization to detail its history, its mission, and its scope. The group should chart the structure of the organization. Your group should also look into the actions that the organization takes with respect to immigration, and the logic behind these actions. Your group should also look into the funding structures/systems for these organizations.

Ideally, each group will do at least three interviews: 1) the director, 2) an employee, 3) a volunteer. Note that I do not want you to interview those who are using the resources as this might endanger that person or put them in a difficult situation.

Each group will visit the organization and observe how the organization operates, and also be able to report about how things run on an everyday basis and through the programs it runs.

We will discuss presentations later, but it is in the presentation that you will be able to offer a critique or opinion on the group, but in gathering information, try to remain as impartial and journalistic as possible.

Also, this is a group project and I will take seriously just how much each individual contributes to each group.
