What is Power-Based Personal Violence (or PBPV)?
Power-Based Personal Violence is a form of violence where the primary motivation is the assertion of power, control, intimidation to harm another. This includes relationship/partner violence, rape/sexual assault, stalking, harassment, bullying, elder abuse, and other uses of force, threat, or intimidation against an individual of any constellation of identities – gender, biological sex, race, ethnicity, class, sexuality, religion, and more.
Green Dot at Middlebury College is committed to creating a community where these acts of violence are not tolerated.
