Seniors Colin McIntyre (’15) and J.D. Ballard (’15) presented their research at the 9th Annual Student Symposium. Colin gave a presentation on “Building a Laser-Scanning Microscope,” where he first showed two-photon fluorescence images. J.D. presented a poster on “Creating a 3D Digital Microscope,” which showed that the Kinect camera can be used to create real-time 3D depth images in a magnified optical system.
