Registration is open for Mental Health First Aid! Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis. This day-long event will be held on February 27th and will be led by Sunny Naughton of Sunshine Silver Lining.  Click here to register.  

Join Coach Sarah Richardson, founder of Rise And Shine.run for a 10-week, virtual ChiWalking/ChiRunning Technique Training course. Learn how you can walk and/or run with ease and efficiency. This Online Class starts February 19th, and you can attend from the comforts of your own home and practice during your normal walks/runs. Zoom sessions are on Monday evenings at 5:00 pm EST. Bear Signs Snowshoe Walk: Join a Mad River Glen naturalist and learn about the ecology and wildlife that call Stark Mountain home. While the trek will focus on bear signs and understanding bear hibernation, participants will learn more generally about the Green Mountain Forest and all its inhabitants. Mindfulness Meditation at SMC: Join Kendra Smith in the meditation room on the third floor of Dion. During these session participants will explore various aspects of mindfulness and meditation techniques to work with our minds so that we can be more present and feel more at home in our ever-changing and tumultuous world. This is an exploration so bring your curiosity as we explore together what arises when we land on the chair or cushion and invite our minds to settle. No prior meditation experience is necessary, and all are welcome. Ongoing Mondays and Thursdays, 12:15-12:45pm.
