Dear colleagues,

Last week the EAC distributed the latest version of their proposal for new teaching load guidelines.  As promised, we have arranged several opportunities for discussion of the proposal.  Arranged by division, some of the conversation in each meeting will be tailored to the questions and concerns particular to the departments and programs in that particular division.  At the same time, each conversation is open to any member of the faculty, so feel free to attend the one that best suits your schedule, even if it’s outside your division.  Beginning next Tuesday, the schedule of meetings is as follows:

March 1, Brainerd Commons (132 Blinn Lane – 3rd house), Natural Sciences Division

March 15, Wonnacott Commons (115 Franklin St), Languages, Arts, and Interdisciplinary Programs

March 22, Atwater Commons (275 Weybridge St), Social Sciences Division

March 24, Ross Commons (26 Blinn Lane – 1st house), Humanities and Literatures

Each meeting will begin at 4:30p.m. Members of the EAC will attend each meeting and will be available to answer questions and receive your comments.  There also will be refreshments!  So please plan to attend one of these important conversations.

Many thanks to the Commons heads and coordinators for their willingness to host these meetings.

James
