The OSM funds are  “micro-philanthropy” or seed grants meant to jumpstart tenants’ projects. Apart from the limited OSM budget, there are many other sources of funding for tenants. The OSM strongly encourages its tenants to check out funding sources detailed in this PDF before requesting funds from OSM.

Tenants that are funded receive their funding by purchasing the needed goods and bringing their receipts to MariAnn Osborne, who will write a reimbursement check. If, for some reason, you do not have the capital to make the initial purchase, please contact oldstonemill@middlebury.edu to investigate other arrangements.
