The Benefits section of the HR webpage has a wealth of information and resources including: claim forms, worksheets, Summary Plan Descriptions, brochures on special services such as Cigna’s Healthy Pregnancies/Health Babies and Oral Health Integration programs, preventative care, filing massage therapy claims, as well as instructions for initiating online access to myCigna.com, and so on. Typing “go/benefits” in your web browser will bring you straight to Middlebury’s benefits page.

Cigna Customer Service

Cigna’s Customer Service line (1-800-244-6224) is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year! Customer Service representatives can quickly help with: finding an in-network provider, letting you know if a claim has been paid, helping you understand your Explanation of Benefits, letting you know whether or not your deductible or out-of-pocket maximums have been satisfied, etc. Customer Service can also authorize prescription overrides for you if you will be traveling for 90 days or less (if you’ll be traveling for a longer period see information on the Benefits webpage.)

Cigna One-on-One Appointments

Middlebury has a dedicated claims issue team headed by Client Service Executive, Teri Trovato. If you have a problem such as a claim that was not paid as expected, issues with coordination of benefits (i.e. between Cigna and Medicare), concerns with surgery or treatment pre-authorizations etc. click on the following link Cigna One on One Appointment to schedule an individual teleconference. At the appointed time Teri or a team member will call you at the number you provide when scheduling the appointment.

Cigna’s web portal and mobile app both provide quick and convenient access to a wealth of great information such as: virtual ID cards, information on where you stand relative to your plan deductible and out-of-pocket maximums, paid claims (medical, pharmacy and dental), directory of network providers, drug cost information, quick summaries of plan provisions, ability to manage Cigna Rx home delivery, access to Cigna’s telehealth services.
