The Education Studies Program in conjunction with the ACE/Sloan Faculty Career Flexibility program is pleased to announce the pilot semester of Alexander Twilight Hall After School Workshops. Ariele Faber ‘12 and Leslie Crapster-Pregont ‘12 invite the children of faculty and staff, ages 8-14, to join them on a small journey around the world exploring food and culture.

Around the World: An Exploration of Food and Culture
The world is a vast place full of unique cultures and traditions. The objective of our workshop series is to take a small journey into these cultures. Every week we will be exploring a new country, highlighting an important aspect of their culture through arts/crafts, games, stories, or language learning. We will then learn about traditional foods and recipes of each place. Our goal is to enhance each child’s awareness of the world around them by offering a “taste” of what people of all places have to share.

The workshops will take place in Twilight Hall on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Workshops will begin October 10 and wrap up November 21. The cost of the series is $72 per child. Space is limited to 12 children. Please contact Trish Dougherty (pdougher@middlebury.edu) by October 3 to reserve your space.  If you have questions please visit our website first (go/afterschool) to see if the answer has been posted.
