We’re writing on behalf of the United Way of Addison County to follow up on a letter that we sent earlier in the month encouraging your support of this year’s campaign.
First, important information for anyone who submitted an online pledge in the last week: due to a glitch in the software, any pledges submitted before Tuesday 10/26 were not recorded in the system. If you pledged online and did not receive a confirmation email, please resubmit your pledge at http://go.middlebury.edu/unitedway?ezpdof . If you wish to check the status of your pledge, email Kevin Peters at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Second, you can learn more about the United Way of Addison County and the important role it plays in our community on their website at http://www.unitedwayaddisoncounty.org/.
Our goal this year is to increase participation well beyond last year’s participation rate, which was less than 20% of the College community. To that end, and to encourage timely and more substantial participation, we are pleased to announce that we will be holding two raffles again this fall. By contributing to the campaign, you will automatically be entered in the raffle, and will be eligible to receive additional prizes if you pledge by November 15. First-time contributors, and contributors who increase their contributions will be entered twice – see https://seguecommunity.middlebury.edu/view/html/site/unitedway-addison/node/4346235 for prizes and information. In addition, an anonymous donor from our community has issued a challenge grant that will match new or increased donations two dollars for each new dollar, up to $20,000.
We understand that how you choose to direct your charitable giving is a personal decision, and know that there are many other deserving organizations that you might support. We humbly ask that you join us in supporting the United Way with a donation of any amount to demonstrate solidarity and commitment to ensuring that our neighbors have the vital services and support that they need.
Thank you for supporting our community,
Middlebury College United Way Campaign Committee:
