Join in a group relaxation and meditation practice to promote restful sleep, decrease stress, and cultivate mental tranquility. This group will include relaxation practices, called Yoga Nidra, to systematically scan the body to promote deep relaxation. The group will begin with a few minutes of gentle stretches and tension releasing techniques and then move into Yoga Nidra, which can be done while laying down. The group will include some breathing techniques and guided meditation. We conclude with an opportunity for discussion and sharing. Please bring a towel or mat if you would like to rest on something rather than the carpeted floor. Open to students, faculty, and staff.
