The Vermont Brewers Festival draws over 10,000 people to Burlington every year. Visitors get to pick and choose samples from 45 breweries, 30 of which are based in Vermont.
UVM Business of Craft Brewing Program
Opening a brewery, or getting otherwise involved in the craft beer industry has become an increasingly common pursuit for many recent graduates in Vermont. However, brewing can be tricky for those who are not familiar with the ins and outs of the business. To cater to this need, UVM started a Business of Craft Beer program. According to program director Greg Dunkling, their goal is to make certain that when people start a plan for a new brewery, they do it in a careful and successful way.
