The CBYX for Young Professionals is now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 program year. This year-long fellowship, funded by the German Bundestag (parliament) and the U.S. Congress, provides participants the opportunity to study and work in Germany.
Eligibility: U.S. citizens, 18.5 – 24 years old, a high school diploma, and clear career goals and some work experience in their desired career field. German knowledge or a college degree are not required. Click here to learn more.
As a first step, interested applicants should request an application here.
Once accepted, 65 young professionals from the U.S. will spend August 2026 – June 2027 in Germany attending language school, taking university or trade/technical classes, and completing an internship in their prospective career field. We seek applicants whose professional and educational ambitions would benefit from a year in Germany.
There will be an informational webinar for potential applicants on Tuesday, September 23 at 2:00 pm EDT (register here).
