What is it?

The Rundown:

The Green Mountain New Deal is not legislature. It serves as a moral philosophy, and a guiding, written framework under which progressive legislation may fall. It aims to revolutionize Vermont’s public transportation systems, reduce carbon production, combat corruption within and production in the fossil fuel industry to move towards a completely green energy infrastructure at the state level.

Some priorities of the GMND focuses on job creation and social justice. This proposal is based off of the national Green New Deal, a congressional resolution that addresses climate change and economic inequality as twin pillars of the climate fight.
