Faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members are invited to join us for the third event in It’s Not What You Think, a new storytelling series that explores life’s unexpected twists and turns. The series is part of a multi-pronged initiative to help foster resilience that includes spaces for reflection, increased access to counseling, workshops, and storytelling.
It’s Not What You Think, which features stories from members of the college community, will bring us together around stories of the unanticipated ways that life unfolds, including failures, defeats, tragedies, and radical life changes. Each event begins with a featured storyteller (or two), followed by discussion of our shared experiences weathering unforeseen events.
The March event features Assistant Professor of Dance Christal Brown, who is a choreographer, educator, performer, writer, and activist, and Larry Yarbrough, Tillinghast Professor of Religion and Director of the Scott Center for Spiritual and Religious Life. For more information on this event—and updates on future events—visit go/INWYT. All are welcome to attend, but because of space limitations, we ask that you please RSVP to Professor Rachael Joo.
If you have a story that you would like to share at a future event, please contact Professor Rachael Joo.
