The Bristol Family Center follows a Reggio Emilia approach to teaching where children have a hands-on education that is to some degree under their control. The ACSU Early Education Program offers multiple services to qualified children 3-5 whose families live in Bridport, Cornwall, Middlebury, Salisbury, Shoreham, Weybridge and Ripton. Youth and Family Services Program provided therapy, community, supports and case management to youth, children and their families in school, office and community based settings. Substance abuse treatment and adventure-based programs are offered along with a youth employment program, a school based-intensive school support program and an educational treatment program for youth struggling with emotional/behavior disorders. Partnerships with area agencies help provide mental health services to youth of transition age (16-22) and to pre-school age children. The program also has services for outpatient, psychiatry, runaway and homeless youth, therapeutic outreach and early childhood mental health.
