The New Neighbors Victim Outreach Project is supported by the Vermont Center for Crime Victims and funded by the U.S. Department of Justice. Their goal is to inform and empower Vermont’s refugee and immigrant populations on their rights as victims of crime. The group also provides culturally and linguistically accessible information to all immigrants and aims to help immigrants participate as community advocates and liaisons to victim services programs.

The Vermont Human Rights Commission is state-run program based in Montpelier, Vermont. Their goal is to promote full civil and human rights in Vermont. The Commission also protects people from unlawful discrimination in housing, state government employment, and public accommodations (such as school, disability issues, etc). The group has worked with the Addison County Farm Worker Coalition. They pursue their mission by enforcing laws, mediating disputes, educating the public, providing information, and advancing public policies on human rights.
