Translingual Magazine is looking for editors and writers

The Translingual Literary Magazine (started by the International Students’ Organization this year) is looking for additional editors and photographers in preparation of our second edition this upcoming spring.
Interested? Read ahead.
Editors: You don’t have to be fluent at any foreign language, although that’s a plus. Experience with writing/journalism, literature, or foreign experience are preferable, but not necessary.
Photographers: Do you have a passion for photography? Are you well-travelled and have pictures from abroad, or from around where you’re from? Then we want YOU to be on our team!
The positions are unpaid volunteer positions with flexible schedules – although the ability to meet at 5pm on Sundays at least once a semester is an advantage . Editors must submit at least one article with every edition, and photographers are encouraged to do so, too.
If you’re interested, contact iso@middlebury.edu, and we can meet and see if you’re right for us.
Thanks,
 The Translingual Board.

Apply for an Environmental Council Grant!

The Environmental Council is now requesting a second round of grant proposals for the 2012-2013 academic year. Grants range from $25- $2500 and fund projects that reflect and inspire environmental leadership and spread sustainability initiatives on and off campus.

We have found that the most successful projects are collaborative and creative- bringing together groups and individuals from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds, providing a new solution to a difficult problem, and having continuity beyond the initial funding phase.
