Educator’s Ally provides personalized service to educators and school administrators. Our schools contact us for candidate referrals for a variety of teaching and administrative positions.

Teaching positions range from pre-kindergarten through Grade 12. Most positions require experience, as well as a masters degree, and we look for candidates with strong credentials who are dedicated to a career in independent school teaching.

While we place educators year-round, the majority of hiring takes place between February and June.

Requirements: Candidates will need at least a BA/BS in the subject area they will be teaching, although minors or concentrations can be acceptable for the following areas: chemistry, physics, mathematics, and Spanish. Experience working with children between the ages of 5-18 is preferred. The ability to coach or direct extracurricular activities is very helpful.

Teacher certification is not required.

The Liberal Arts Career Network (LACN) job and internship database is shared among a consortium of 35 top liberal arts colleges and universities, including Middlebury. Browse hundreds of positions posted by employers searching for high-achieving students and alumni.

How to register to use the LACN database:

Step1: Go to: https://lacn-csm.symplicity.com/students/

Step 2: Click ”Register”

Step 3: Complete the fields on the registration page. Fields with a red * are required.

  • You must use your middlebury.edu email address to register. (Once you have an account you can change your contact information, including your email address, and this will not affect your account access.)
  • Enter Middlebury in the “Referring School” field

Step 4: Click “Submit”

After you click “Submit” you will receive an email message asking you to verify your email address. Once you’ve verified your email, the account approval process will take 24 to 48 hours. You will receive log in information by email from the LACN Operations Manager.
