It has been an honor to serve as a member of the ACSD School Board for the past four years. I have taken my responsibility to students, educators, and taxpayers very seriously.

I have been fully present at each board meeting, planning meeting, and committee meeting.

I have read the research that has been provided to board members and that I have conducted my own research when I felt I did not have sufficient data to make an informed decision.

I advocated to establish a Community Engagement working group which ultimately developed into the Planning and Engagement Committee which I have chaired since its inception.

As the chair of the Planning and Engagement Committee, I have sought feedback and strived to communicate to and with each of our stakeholders, both in writing and in formal and informal settings.

In my board work, and especially when considering each vote, I think about the potential impacts to each and every one of you, your children, your children’s teachers, and those who I may not yet have had the opportunity to call my friend and colleague.

I have worked closely with other board members and administrators to understand the complexity of the issues facing our district and establish goals for the future of our district.
