The theme for the Fall 2016 senior seminar–led by Mez Baker-Medard– is A Holistic Exploration of Vermont’s Dairy Industry. Project work will focus on a range of issues including water quality challenges, energy innovation, complex labor and immigration issues, and generational farm transitions with partners from the VT Department of Environmental Conservation, VT Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets, UVM-Extension, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Migrant Justice, and Green Mountain Power.
