Getting to Middlebury
By Air: The closest airport is Burlington International Airport, approximately 36 miles away. To get to Middlebury, the most cost-effective and convenient way is to rent a car. Taxis? Those are rare creatures in this part of the world.
By Train: Amtrak serves a few towns in Vermont. The closest stations are Castleton, VT and Rutland, VT (about an hour away from MIddlebury). You would need to rent a car afterwards. Given that the train frequency is one train per day, a good alternative is Albany, approximately 2.5 hours away from Midd.
