This open ocean research expedition took me from Uruguay to Barbados.  I investigated viral abundance, diversity and the impact of viruses on bacterioplankton communities.

Research stations from Montevideo, Uruguay to Bridgetown, Barbados. We traveled ~5200 nautical miles, equivalent to the distance from Boston to Tehran or Paris to Bangkok.
