Nationalism and New States in the Balkans
Participants: All MIIS and Middlebury College students
What: 1-week immersion course through two countries in the Balkans guided by Dr. Phil Murphy of the Middlebury Institute and Svetlana Kijevcanin of AltruVistas.
When: March 15-23, 2025

Cost: Students are responsible for their program fee, airfare, one meal per day, and any other miscellaneous travel expenses including travel insurance.
Group Size: There is a 18-person cap for this program. This allows the group to connect more closely with site visit hosts and each other.
Payment Deadlines: $250 deposit due December 12; Balance due January 15
Course Credit: 2-3 credits, pass/fail (no credit option available)
Financial Aid: Students taking the program for academic credit may request Federal loans to cover the cost of travel and the program fee. Email finaid@miis.edu for more information.
