In this post we’ll introduce you to two new members of the Middlebury College staff who are working in the College Advancement office. Please join us as we welcome Merilyn and Phil to campus.
Merilyn Burrington has joined the College Advancement office as the associate director of prospect research. She holds multiple degrees from the University of Vermont, where she was previously employed. Merilyn lives in Charlotte with her husband and their yellow lab, Etta James. An inveterate lover of writing, reading, walking, and yoga, she’s also a steady rider of the Middlebury Link.
Phil Oldham is a member of the class of 1990 and has been living in Lincoln for the past three years. In November he was hired as leadership gifts officer in the College Advancement office. Over the past 20 years he has worked in international relief and development, serving in Russia, the Balkans, Africa, and Haiti. Phil is a runner and a skier and is enjoying settling down in Vermont with his wife, Jennifer, the executive director of Addison County Hospice Volunteer Services; daughter, Fiona (fifth grade); and son, Jess (fourth grade).
