I’m a second-year student at Middlebury Institute of International Studies. I major in translation and localization management(STEM), specializing in localization.
As a localization student, I’m passionate about adapting the content of a product to the culture of a specific country and managing multiple localization projects from start to end simultaneously. I also love leveraging different tools in automating website, software, and game internationalization and localization, and I enjoy optimizing the localization process and workflow for higher efficiency and polishing the target content to provide better quality and experience for the end-users.
Now I’m working at the VMware R&D office as a localization project manager intern. I also have working experience as a search engine optimizer and digital media project manager. For me, the work of internationalization, localization, and globalization is not only to deal with the code, language demand, and cultural preferences by managing diverse resource files and strings but also to assist various communication and cooperation around the world by building the bridge among different cultures.
I will graduate in May 2021, and I want to become a localization project manager or a localization quality engineer.
