Borlaug (graduate) Fellowship deadline extended to May 31, 2012

A unique post-graduate opportunity for students to know about once they are clear about their graduate school plans:

The Center for Global Food Security at Purdue University (http://www.purdue.edu/discoverypark/food) is kicking off the Borlaug Fellowship program, which aims to provide financial support to US graduate students studying in US universities to carry out research in a developing country on a topic that will resolve an important constraint associated with food security.   This five-year program is funded by the US Agency for International Development.  These fellowships are meant to complement other sources of financial assistance that students have obtained to support their graduate work.  The deadline for the first round of applications has been extended until May 31st.  Subsequent rounds will be announced beginning in early fall 2012.

If students are interested in applying for a grant, application instructions and forms are located at http://www.purdue.edu/borlaugfellows.  Questions regarding this grant can be addressed to borlaugfellows@purdue.edu.
