The Queer Studies House (QSH) is an academic interest house with the mission of promoting the academic pursuit of queer studies and creating a safe space for students of all sexual and gender identities. Established in the spring of 2008, the house is five years old, and it is our belief that it is becoming an important institution at Middlebury.
The QSH is a living space dedicated to the principle that the study of sexuality and gender identity is integral to the radical challenging of hierarchies of oppression and a necessary portion of a complete academic, social, and residential college experience.
The house plays host to social and academic teas, parties, workshops, and film screenings, and residents are involved in numerous queer-related activities and projects on campus. You can find the QSH at 70 Hillcrest Road, behind Proctor Dining Hall and to the left of the Chellis House.
