In an effort to reduce the number of all-student e-mails, MiddNotes is now the primary means of communicating with the entire student body (excluding announcements related to emergencies, health, policy and compliance, or other special circumstances). Special permission to send all-student emails must be granted by the Dean of the College.
All students, faculty, and staff can make College-related announcements via MiddNotes.
How to post to MiddNotes:
- Visit go/post
- Log in with your Middlebury username and password
- Fill in the title (“Enter title here”),
- Put your message in the text box
- Click on “Save Draft” in the right-hand toolbox (“Publish”)
- “Preview” your work
- Click on the “Submit for Review” button
Note: All submissions must adhere to Middlebury College’s Student Life Policies (with careful attention to Community Standards) and LIS’s Responsible Use of Computing and Network Service and Facilities policy.
Posts will not be viewable by the public until they have been reviewed and approved by the Office of the Dean of the College. We reserve the right to edit content for style, and to ensure compliance with all applicable College policies. We also reserve the right to reject submissions that do not meet MiddNotes guidelines.
We hope you’ll use MiddNotes for your announcements, to help reduce all-student emails. Submissions to MiddNotes by 8 p.m. on Thursday will be posted by Friday. Please plan ahead.
If you have questions about using MiddNotes, please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
