As a debater who embarked on undergraduate study initially as a philosophy major, I am always interested in diverse topics such as international relationships, religion, social movements, and so forth. As the interpretation team leader at my university, I transferred my major into English and prepared to learn more oral English skills. I used to think I may make applications to study interpreting and serve in international organizations. However, a Nintendo game called Animal Crossing suddenly came into my life and excited my localization interest in March 2020.
In my opinion, localization is about capturing the essence of meaning that makes users feel at home and increases their engagement. And I am still on my way to perform better in the localization field.
