The 9th Annual Fisher Fiesta will focus on “How Do Micro-finance and Business Development Alleviate Poverty?” The keynote address will be offered by Matt Flannery, Co-Founder & CEO of Kiva, the world’s first online micro-lending platform. Founded in 2005, Kiva empowers individuals to lend to entrepreneurs across the globe in order to alleviate poverty.
All MIIS students, staff & faculty are welcome to attend the keynote address in the Irvine Auditorium. Thanks to a donation from Student Council, the Fisher Fiesta Planning Committee is now able to waive the $5 fee for admission to this event.
