As your global source for women’s perspectives, The WIP is very proud of our major accomplishment since our launch in March of 2007 – we are a viable online publication with writers from over 40 countries and international readers from 150 countries.
In 2014 The WIP become a publication of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, formerly the Monterey Institute of International Studies. The goal of this partnership is for The WIP to continue to sustain itself as voice for women by becoming the “go to” place for women from around the world to publish articles about critical policy issues from women’s perspectives, while providing a platform for MIIS students, faculty, and alumni.
As part of our sustainability effort we have created an international circle of friends. Our friends’ donations help support the writer compensation, editorial, and fact-checking services of our feature articles.
