I love silent films, I really do. But watching them at home on my smaller-than-a-movie-screen television is a bit boring. Watching them on the very big screen at the Castro Theatre with a live score is nothing short of invigorating.
This weekend is the annual San Francisco Silent Film Festival at the Castro Theatre. The complete program is here.
Everything looks so good! But the Kings of (Silent) Comedy shorts on Sunday at 10 a.m. looks exceptional.
So go, have popcorn and coffee for breakfast and enjoy Buster Keaton’s exceptional screen presence.
