Hampton Fiber Mill
Michael’s connection to fiber began when his great aunt taught him to knit at the age of four, and he has surrounded himself with wool ever since. He opened Hampton Fiber Mill in 2009 and has done custom processing for many Vermont sheep farmers. After many years of working hard to keep up with never ending orders, he’s passed along his original equipment and is now happily focused on crafting his own lines of yarn from commercial combed top wool. Michael is very active in fiber communities and served on the Vermont Sheep and Goat Association’s Board of Directors for many years. When he’s not in the mill, he’s an avid knitter, and even completed the Knitting Guild Association’s challenging Master Knitter’s Program.
