Lea DeLaria Upped To Regular On “Orange Is The New Black”
In case you aren’t aware, Season 3 of the fan favorite prison drama premieres HERE on June 12. And here’s the good news, we’re going to see a lot of Big Boo in the seasons to come. Recurring since Season 1 as prison inmate Carrie ‘Big Boo’ Black, Lea DeLaria has been promoted to series regular for the fourth season of the show. The news come ahead of Orange Is The New Black’s Season 3 premiere and on the heels of an early fourth season renewal. She joins another longtime recurring, Jackie Cruz, who was recently upped to regular for Season 4. DeLaria, also an accomplished jazz musician, is set to release her sixth record, jazz covers of David Bowie hits, “House of David: DeLaria + Bowie= Jazz”, in mid-summer.
